23 August 1987-2012: Remembering Didier Pironi










25 years ago Didier Pironi left our world to became a legend, the man who got Villeneuve angry and could have been world champion in 1982 if he hadn`t suffered the accident in Hockenheim when crashed Prost from behind preventing him to race again.
He would be ´82 runner-up.
In 1986 he tested a new F-1 french make, the AGS.

1952-2012: 60 years of helmets in Formula 1




















In 1952 was the first time drivers must wore rigid helmets instead of textile ones.
From the open versions of the 50s to jet to the sixties, in 1968 Dan Gurney was the first driver to introduce the integral helmet from Bell.
In XXI century we have the hyper tech helmets with radio, drinks and oxygen connections to ease driver´s life.
Here we illustrate Fangio´s and Schumacher´s helmets from 1952 and 2000 respectively.

Canadian GP 1982 - Tribute to Riccardo Paletti










30 years ago the italian Riccardo Paletti in his second race crashed from behind the Pironi´s Ferrari and died at the start of the Canadian Grand Prix. He was only 23 years old.

1962- 50 years ago, the Lotus 25 monocoque.








50 years ago made its debut the first Formula 1 with a monocoque chassis.
It was at the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort on 20th May. Jim Clark qualified third but finished only 9th. The following race in Monaco he would start from Pole Position.

Celebrating a tribute to the Great Gilles I have chosen his firsts F1, the McLaren M23 at his debut at the British GP 1977 and the Ferrari 312 T-2 when he replaced Niki Lauda at the Canadian Grand Prix 1977.

Patrick Head leaves Williams after 35 years!

Our tribute to Patrick Head with his most brilliant design, the Williams FW07 of 1979.
From 1979 and 1982 this single-seater achived 3 world championships (1 driver, 2 constructors).
Here we can see the Regazzoni´s FW07 which the Swiss driver got the first Williams win with.

Our tribute to the most experienced F1 driver in history who hasn´t got any seat for 2012.
